The Kentucky State Ministers Conference September 22-33, 2006, focused on ministers and ministry. Bishop Stephens opened the session with a compelling vision for the ministerial family to be..

Ministers Pastors Youth Evangelism Priorities Revival
  1. Create excitement for children’s ministry…send 2 or 3 key workers to visit a children’s ministry somewhere that is really happening. Do it soon, in the next few weeks. It’s a fact…a picture is worth a thousand words, but an first hand experience is even better. Let them experience, first hand, how parents and small children are greeted by workers, rooms are arranged, children learn in a children friendly church. [The same applies to your teen workers]
  2. Motivate, educate, and resource your workers utilizing special seminars, books, videos, and materials that are readily available at Pathway Press, local Book stores, or via the internet.
  3. Enlist your church to participate in opportunities offered by the State and InternationalOffices that assist churches evangelize/disciple children and youth such as: Youth camps, Winterfests, Kidfests, Teen talent, Junior Talent, Girls Clubs, Boys [PFC] Clubs, etc.

A pastor in Oklahoma stated rather bluntly, “Yeah, I’ve heard that revivals don’t work today. That’s humbug! The problem is that we are plagued with laziness. If the church leaders and members would do their work, God would honor their labors.”
