Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide ministerial accountability and leadership development for the local church. Every meeting and every structure we produce in Kentucky must be in tune with the Holy Spirit’s mandate to perfect the saints for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ. (Eph. 4:12)

Vision Statement

Our vision is to develop the infrastructure and nurture the climate in Kentucky whereby every minister and congregation is growing spiritually, developing healthy relationships, and discovering new skills for reaching the lost and making disciples.

Core Values

CARE :

1. Every pastor and spouse participating in a Covenant to Care team each month to pray together, study together, and edify one another. (1 Corinthians 12:25) Each District Overseer empowered to provide care and encouragement for the ministers on his district.

PRAYER:

2. Effectual fervent prayer must be the hallmark of the Church of God in Kentucky.

UNITY:

3. Church of God ministers working together in harmony and love, and be at the forefront of bringing unity to the body of Christ in their community.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT:

4. State leaders providing leadership development and practical training that relates to the needs of congregations of all sizes, and ministers receiving training through the CIMS Program offered by the School of Ministry.

HERITAGE:

5. We are thankful for our Pentecostal heritage. We honor retired ministers and minister’s widows and bless them financially. Churches are encouraged to “adopt” a retired ministerial couple or minister’s widow.
