The purpose and mission of the Evangelism and Home Missions Department in Kentucky is to develop and implement programs, ministries, and training events that equip the local church to reap the harvest.

Matt 5:41:"And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain."

The Evangelism and Home Missions Program in Kentucky is subsidized from freewill offerings. Known as Second Mile Ministry, the program is exclusively committed to three significant and worthy ministry needs:

1. A strong evangelistic effort: Soul winning is the very heart of God. Second Mile Ministry will plant new churches in Kentucky, resource local churches for outreach, and assist effective evangelists.

2. Care for Retired Ministers: Kentucky’s retired ministers and minister’s widows are worthy of honor. Second Mile Ministry will bless them financially at Christmas, and provide financial assistance during Camp Meeting/General Assembly.

3. Assist Struggling Churches: Most churches have known tough times, but, thankfully, the majority of congregations prevail! However, there are some extreme situations when assistance is the only solution. Second Mile Ministry will enable us to assist churches in need.
